sorry -- no scribble this week!

Sorry, folks. Meg and I are both out of town this weekend and will not be able to put up links -- I think this is the first time in 80 weeks that we've both been traveling on the same weekend! We will be back next week with a great prompt. Hope you all have a fabulous weekend and we'll see you soon!

[Update -- It's 5 am and I'm heading to the airport & saw your comments -- aw, you guys, I feel bad! If you want to use "Sorry" as a prompt, I promise to post the links on Monday!]

My family is going to be bummed. Now they will have to put up with me all weekend. Does this mean I have to finally mow the lawn?

Oh well. Have a good weekend everyone!

I am with Redness and all the other rebels on board. Sunday Scribblings is about more than a prompt. It is a community of creativity, where we all come together to share and support one another. Prompt or no prompt this week, we should all post a link to something we wrote and continue the weekend ritual just the same. Count me!

Mine is up.

Ahh, I"m glad I stopped back by again, and found the "Sorry" prompt, I was feeling pretty sad about not having a writing "assignment" for the weekend. This'll work. It isn't really about how fast you get the links posted, it's that we all love to participate in the process!

I am an artist; not a poet, who loves to read poetry (I am a sorry poet). I try to find wonderful poetry that pertains to the prompts. In researching poems with the word "sorry" in them I did not find many poems; though searching for the word "shame" I found hundreds. Hmmmm... so here is a wonderful fitting poem I discovered called "The Shameful Profession" (of being a poet) by James Laughlin. Hope you enjoy it at much as I

Never one to follow the rules exactly. FireCat uses the promptless week as a cosmic sign that she really needed to address last week's "powerful" prompt, since she started crying when she saw it last Friday.
