How did you meet your significant other, your best friend, your dog, your nemesis? On the flip side of that, are there any people in your life you have lost touch with who you wonder about?
This week I've shared something I wrote very early on in my blog, at a time when I was missing and wondering about someone I'd lost touch with.
I came across it while flicking back through some of my older posts, and thought that it captured something of the feeling of a difficult but hopeful time.
The stories I write about My Friend Rosey have become so popular that I had to give then their own site. But I've never expained how I met her. This week SS has given me the perfect opportunity.
Susan from West of Mars sent me here. My flash fiction piece "First Do No Harm" is about how two of the characters in my most recent novel met. I wrote and posted it on Sunday, then found out that it was also the Sunday Scribblings prompt. Synchronicity! :-)
Every Saturday (or thereabouts!) we'll post a writing prompt. (No, not on Sunday because then you can post your writing on Sunday!)
You create a piece of writing inspired by that writing prompt.
You post your writing on your blog and leave a comment here to let us know you have participated. (Please try to leave us the perma-link to the actual post if you can!)
We'll publish the links here for people to follow and read!
Need some suggestions?
You could try: a piece of timed writing, a poem, a story, a song, a piece of prose, a list - anything to get your pen moving!

I wonder what happened to my best friend from the 5th grade. We moved away and I've not seen him since then.
