I suppose "present" could also be a verb, as in: "I present myself before the queen." I'm going to go in the verbal direction and see where it leads me.
Forgive my bittersweet maudlin response. (Three Different Ways) The prompt poked at a very painful wound and the only way to ease the pain was to write about it.
Hi, Imogen Shepard here. I was looking for a weekly journal/blog writing site/group and I came across this through 'Similar Sites' (a Firefox Plug In). It's just perfect! I'm going to have a lot of fun doing this! Thanks for being here! :-)
Every Saturday (or thereabouts!) we'll post a writing prompt. (No, not on Sunday because then you can post your writing on Sunday!)
You create a piece of writing inspired by that writing prompt.
You post your writing on your blog and leave a comment here to let us know you have participated. (Please try to leave us the perma-link to the actual post if you can!)
We'll publish the links here for people to follow and read!
Need some suggestions?
You could try: a piece of timed writing, a poem, a story, a song, a piece of prose, a list - anything to get your pen moving!

Thanks for this great prompt! It is a lot of fun!
I wrote a poem about the economic concept called Present Value -> because I was sure no one else would touch that. :)
It's a very specific present that celebrates our present
here is my picture and a capture to go with it :-)

You happened to catch me in a rare "down moment" when I had trouble searching for presents :)
Loved this one...it gave me chance to think of my sisters

Next week, I'll try to be more upbeat.
