#277 - Distant

What do you think of when I say distant?  Distant lands? Distant loved one? Distant look? Distant can be spacial or emotional or just about anything you like. What do you make of it?

Hey Fellow Bloggers!
Thank you for your kind words on my last week's take on the SS prompt. I really appreciate it. I'm still in there but I tried writing a fantasy fiction for this week's prompt: "The Princess and the Distant Dude".

Come by and visit :)

This could go many ways, but I chose to use the word distant to write a poem about something that is out of my control. I am wondering what everyone else will come up with. It should be fun!

As always I love your prompts and how many different places they can take me. This one brought me to a water maiden and her home beneath the sea.

A distant rumble ---
Is that my muse I'm hearing,
or a false alarm?

My latest, Thrilling Limerick, also serves as a Limerick-Off writing challenge. Thanks very much!

"And now for something completely different!"

Actually...this one has NOTHING to do with Monty Python, but it is a real departure for me.

I wrote some song lyrics that really seem to fit this prompt.

In honor of Comic Con, I did a super-hero story involving the Flash. I'm no Geoff Johns, but I hope it turned out okay.

Great word! It took me forever to nail down what kind of "distant" sparked my brain the most and I settled with distant hearts. Excited to read everyone's contribution!

Love this prompt- so many possibilities!

Why is it that I can't comment on some people's blogs? I would love to leave comments but some won't let me. :(

Just happen to write a poem dealing with this topic. Sort of dark though.
