#93 - "The Date"

You can either write about an actual date (blind or otherwise) or about a particular date or a due date or a deadline or the best day of your life or the day that changed your life (or if you feel cheeky you could write about the date that is a food.)

Thanks for the prompt. I think birthdays are important dates and wrote accordingly.

This prompt brought to mind a number of dates -- the date I was married, the dates my children were born... these were dates with positive memories.

There was the date my son Aaron was killed, one which nearly took my sanity -- but one I now choose fill with positive loving memories of him... a bittersweet date. The date of my heart attack, an extremely unsettling, but ultimately bittersweet date -- I survived.

I have a date of pending great celebration, as my son Justin's wedding approaches.

However, the date I chose to write about, was for me, and most of the world, a date I never will forget -- and which I choose not to forget... for so many reasons.

I have a smiley face next to my name? Is this because I went to Mister Linky's site? Curious!?

Sorry guys, I have no idea why Mr. Linkie stuck my link in there twice. Feel free to delete one. I'd do it myself but the little smilie doohickey is missing.

Would really love some constructive feedback on this. I am working on voice and I feel like I use a gagillion pronouns, he, she all over the place. Any thoughts on how I could do it better would be great

I posted mine. Somehow this was difficult for me. I did not want to write the mundane stuff.

The verb, the noun, or the fruit? I went with the verb, but the fruit is mentioned. http://www.looseleafnotes.com/notes/2008/01/the_dating_game.html

I don't know where this story is leading. It just keeps pouring out of me with the various prompts . . . almost like it has been inside me for years and years and is now spilling out . . . I'm just going with it. I've never written fiction before, by the way, so stop by and give me some constructive criticism. I welcome it.
