I'm first, yay! I feel weird doing a Sunday Scribbling on a Friday, but it was just too tempting. Am I the only one who thinks that opening up about your fears feels just SO intimate?
Posted this on Wednesday for no particular reason. I added some description as to why it fits "scary" category. Curious subject BTW, given it is Good Friday. I wonder if there any crucifixion stories to follow? Look forward to your reads this weekend!
Alice, I'm sure your point of view is like most. But I think it's salient to understand that death by crucifixion was a barbaric and common practice then. Jesus' suffering while carrying and dying upon the cross is the measure of his sacrifice. It is therefore the most significant of all Christian symbols.
Not on theme this week. I'm trying like hell to keep up with NaPoWriMo, 30 poems in 30 days. I've linked my current draft. Will make rounds to check out your contributions. Thanks.
Every Saturday (or thereabouts!) we'll post a writing prompt. (No, not on Sunday because then you can post your writing on Sunday!)
You create a piece of writing inspired by that writing prompt.
You post your writing on your blog and leave a comment here to let us know you have participated. (Please try to leave us the perma-link to the actual post if you can!)
We'll publish the links here for people to follow and read!
Need some suggestions?
You could try: a piece of timed writing, a poem, a story, a song, a piece of prose, a list - anything to get your pen moving!

Not very intimate, I'm afraid! I've had this bit of nonsense hanging around wondering when to publish it!

i'm poking my head into a new genre...and not sure how it reads.
Neither snakes nor tarantulae nor heights ultimately scare me. Though none of those are a picnic. Instead, this does:

Maybe not SCARY . . . but certainly startling and alarming:
NO BEGGING FOR EGGS – THE BUNNY WAS BUSTED
Well, here it is, my biggest fear all laid out...
Scary can sometimes be humorous...
Maybe mine will provide a laugh.
Mafia Man
